Coaching Philosophy
When it comes to my style as a coach, I always want to be the coach that my kids tell mom and dad about when they go home. Small moments I get to have with them on a daily basis, whether that be sharing a funny joke or learning what makes them tick, is why I do what I do. I want to connect with each class that I coach, and make every child enjoy their time with me through the lens of sports.
Competitive Background
Played competitive basketball at the high school and AAU level during my youth. Have been around the sport of basketball for as long as I can remember.
Coaching Experience
I always knew I wanted to be a sports coach, and throughout my days of competitively playing basketball, it was always my obsession. I have only recently begun coaching for the basketball team here at Chelsea Piers, but it feels like I have been doing it forever. I have also coached for different competitive basketball programs.
Most Memorable Sports Moment
Coming to Chelsea Piers for most of my youth to play basketball, my most memorable sports moment was getting my first coaching win as head coach of a Chelsea Piers EVOLUTION basketball team. The combination of those two ideas was and still is important as ever, getting to coach somewhere I have a special connection to.
