As an actor/figure skater, Maurie’s passion is bringing energy and artistry to skating. She is constantly finding new, creative ways to push the limits of the sport and think outside the box.

Maurie was a nationally qualifying competitor for several years. She has trained with Disney on Ice choreographers, participated in Grassroots to Champions intensives, and competed in iconic arenas including the Olympic stadium in Lake Placid.

After graduating from Boston University with a BFA in Acting, Maurie brought her passions for both skating and acting to New York City where she began coaching at Chelsea Piers. She specializes in Basic Skating Skills, Low Freestyle and choreography.

My most memorable sports moment was when I landed my first double axel. It was a feeling like no other and one I’ll remember forever!
