“For relaxation, I like to figure skate. Being on the ice and spinning and jumping, I feel very close to nature. In particular, I feel very close to Newton’s law of motion. On the ice, you can experience Newton’s laws of motion in their purest, most elegant form.” – Michio Kaku

Coaching Philosophy
Skating is all about having fun, and my main goal is to share my love for the ice with each of my students. Helping them discover the joy of being active in such a fun and unique way is what drives me in teaching, and I’ve found that having fun makes my students more effective learners!
Competitive Background
I’ve been skating since I was 6, and since then, I’ve competed on both Regional and National stages. Currently, I am on the NYU Figure Skating team, skating at the Junior level in singles skating and the Preliminary level in ice dance. I also played four years of High School Varsity Ice Hockey as a Defenseman, and I spent my last two years on the team in a captain position. I’m also a three-time Florida Panthers Scholastic Hockey League All-Star, and I had the honor of playing on my division’s All-Star team.
Coaching Experience
I have been a Learn to Skate coach for the last three years, and I have taught all levels of Basic Skills and Learn to Play. I also teach private lessons across all ages, levels, and disciplines; primarily in basic skating skills.
Most Memorable Sports Moment
The sports moment that sticks out to me the most was my clean skate at the 2024 Northeast Intercollegiate Classic in Utica. After months of intense training and tweaking my programs after my first Intercollegiate showing, it was super gratifying to have my hard work pay off- especially since the points I earned helped push NYU into 4th place in our conference, clinching our spot at Nationals.
